Here&#8217;s a quick step by step for how to build a balloon powered rocket car.<\/p>\n<p>First off we need a plastic water or soda bottle (500ml or 16.9 oz depending on your favorite measurement system).<\/p>\n<p>You will also need 5 beverage straws, one wooden shish-kabob skewer, 4 water bottle caps (wheels), a balloon, and duct or masking tape.<\/p>\n<p>Tools will be a nail, hammer, knife, and scissors.<\/p>\n<p>First step is to cut one beverage straw into two bottle width lengths.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0648.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-129\" alt=\"DSCN0648\" src=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0648-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0648-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0648-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0648-200x150.jpg 200w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0648-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Second step is to use a hammer and small nail to put the hole in the wheels (bottle caps).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0649.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-130\" alt=\"DSCN0649\" src=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0649-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0649-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0649-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0649-200x150.jpg 200w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0649-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Make sure the nail is a bit narrower than the skewer. \u00a0If it is not, you will need some modeling clay, or some form of glue to adhere the wheel to the axle (skewer).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0651.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-132\" alt=\"DSCN0651\" src=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0651-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0651-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0651-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0651-200x150.jpg 200w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0651-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After putting one wheel on each axle, you will then attach the cut straws on the bottom of the bottle and attach the other wheel on each axle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0654.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-135\" alt=\"DSCN0654\" src=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0654-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0654-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0654-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0654-200x150.jpg 200w, http:\/\/interestingcool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSCN0654-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following this, you will then stretch out the balloon a bit, by pulling it, and then inflating\/deflating the balloon several times to prepare it.<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-137\" style=\"font-size: 12px;
